About Maestro Tech

Built in Chicago, by people who spent time in mortgage

We saw origination teams drown in document review and built the tool we wished they had. Maestro Tech is an angel-backed AI startup founded in 2024.

Our story

The problem was always the same pile of documents

Mortgage origination has not changed the way it feels on the ground: loan files still arrive as mixed-quality PDFs, handwritten notes, phone photos of pay stubs, and multi-hundred-page bank statement exports. Someone has to read all of it before an underwriter can make a decision. That person is usually a loan officer or processor spending their entire day on document review instead of lending.

Maestro Tech was founded in 2024 to change that. We built an AI extraction engine specifically for the mortgage document stack: trained on the field formats and edge cases that matter to originators, not a generic document parser bolted onto a general-purpose LLM.

Our product is lender-facing tooling. Maestro does not originate loans, does not make credit decisions, and is not a broker or underwriting system. It reads documents and returns structured data, so your licensed team spends less time on prep and more time on the decision that actually requires them.

Regulatory philosophy

We are tooling, not a decision-maker

Maestro is built with a deliberate scope boundary. Our product does one thing: it reads mortgage documents and returns structured data. That is all.

What Maestro does

  • Extracts fields from mortgage documents
  • Flags missing documents and low-confidence fields
  • Returns structured pre-UW report for human review
  • Integrates with lender LOS via API

What Maestro does not do

  • Make credit decisions or recommendations
  • Issue adverse-action notices
  • Act as a lender, broker, or underwriter
  • Replace licensed underwriting judgment
